Ron Smith is the President and Founder of TekRecruiter. He is a Florida International University computer science graduate and software engineer who has led technical recruiting since 2016, and he still works directly with clients, candidates and consultants on every engagement.

Software first
Ron graduated from Florida International University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Shortly after, he built a job board for commission-only sales professionals. It was acquired six months after its first version launched.
A decade in technical recruiting
In 2016 Ron joined Signature Consultants, then the 14th-largest IT staffing firm, and quickly became one of its top technical recruiting leaders. In 2019 he moved to Artech, then the 9th-largest IT staffing firm, where he led the firm to become the top staffing and software services partner for one of its largest enterprise clients.
That mix of solutions architecture and technology recruiting is the base TekRecruiter was built on. Ron’s organizational design, recruiting and software delivery processes shaped the company’s identity: technical people recruiting for technical roles, with a Managing Director on every account.
