Hire AWS engineers from a certified AWS Partner.
TekRecruiter is an AWS recruiting agency focused solely on technology and engineering roles at tech and SaaS companies. We’re a certified AWS Partner led by an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, so you hire engineers who have designed the VPCs, written the IAM policies and owned the bill of a production AWS account, not just passed the exam. Trusted by teams at
AWS hiring, with the numbers.
Most AWS searches fail on scope, not supply: a company asks for an "AWS engineer" when it needs an architect, or a cost problem gets staffed like a migration. These figures come from our own 2026 placements and the June 2026 Latin America benchmark.
To start an AWS consultant
From your approval to their first day, in as little as three days. You interview every consultant first.
Senior SRE/DevOps (AWS, Terraform) in Latin America, market base
The highest-paid nearshore profile, from TekRecruiter’s June 2026 Latin America benchmark.1
Contract DevOps, SRE and platform bill rate, 2026
South Florida $109, Boston $116, New York $120, across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.1
The AWS talent we place.
AWS cloud and DevOps engineers
EC2, ECS and EKS, Lambda, VPC networking and IAM, built through Terraform or CloudFormation and shipped by CI/CD.
AWS solutions architects
Account and network design, landing zones, security baselines and migration plans that engineers can build against.
Data and machine learning on AWS
Data engineers on S3, Glue, Redshift and Kinesis; ML engineers deploying models on SageMaker and Bedrock.
Cost optimization and FinOps
Engineers who find the waste, right-size compute, commit to Savings Plans and keep spend tracked against budget.
Who our AWS searches are built for.
- AWS bills that grew faster than the business, and need engineers who can cut them without breaking production.
- Migrations and re-architecture from a data center or another cloud onto AWS.
- AI and data teams building on AWS who need data and ML engineers, not only infrastructure.
- Reselling AWS or managing your account. We place engineers; we do not resell cloud services.
- A fully outsourced AWS project. Our engineers work under your management.
- A certification check alone. We screen on environments candidates built, not badges.
Why AWS searches go wrong.
AWS is the largest cloud talent pool, which makes it the easiest to fill with the wrong person. These are the misses we hear about most.
- 01
The badge, not the account.
Associate and Professional certifications, but no production account they owned end to end.
- 02
Console-built infrastructure.
Environments clicked together by hand, with no Terraform or CloudFormation to review or rebuild.
- 03
Nobody watching the bill.
An engineer who can scale anything and has never been asked what it cost.
- 04
The wrong AWS profile.
An architect hired to run production, or a DevOps engineer asked to design a landing zone.
- US contract bill rate per hour, across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
- $109–$120
- Senior nearshore SRE/DevOps (AWS, Terraform) per hour, all in
- $42–$57
- Nearshore engineers placed
- 130+
Every AWS account has a story. We ask for the outage and the invoice.
AWS certifications are easy to earn and prove little about production. Our screen walks each candidate through an AWS environment they built or changed: the architecture, what it cost, what failed, and what they would do differently. Our founder is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, so the conversation goes past the badge. Every engineer we present meets our HEART standard as well.
- Architecture they owned: accounts, networking and services, and why they chose each.
- Infrastructure as code: whether the environment lives in Terraform or CloudFormation, or in the console.
- Cost awareness: what the environment spent each month and what they did to bring it down.
- Security and IAM: least-privilege access, secrets and how they passed an audit.

The HEART standard
What we look for beyond skills and experience, in every candidate we present.
- High agencyPeople who see what needs to be done and act without waiting to be told.
- ExecutionPeople who turn ideas into results.
- AccountabilityPeople who own the outcome, not just their piece of the work.
- ResourcefulnessPeople who figure things out when the answer isn’t obvious.
- TransparencyPeople who communicate clearly, honestly, and early.
Which AWS profile do you need?
Four skill sets sit under "AWS." Scoping the right one before the search is the fastest way to a good hire.
| Cloud and DevOps engineer | Solutions architect | Data and ML engineer | Cost optimization / FinOps | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What they do | Build, automate and run AWS infrastructure | Design the environment others build | Build data pipelines and deploy models on AWS | Find and cut cloud waste, then keep spend in budget |
| Core AWS services | EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch | Organizations, Control Tower, networking, security services | S3, Glue, Redshift, Kinesis, SageMaker, Bedrock | Cost Explorer, Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, rightsizing |
| Tooling we screen | Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD, Kubernetes | Reference architectures, migration plans, Well-Architected reviews | Python, SQL, Spark, orchestration | Tagging, cost allocation, reporting, IaC changes |
| Typical engagement | Contract, contract-to-hire or direct hire | Direct hire, or contract for a migration | Direct hire or contract-to-hire | Contract, for a defined cost program |
| Best for | Scaling and running production | Migrations and new platforms | Analytics and AI products on AWS | A cloud bill that outgrew the business |
Scope the environment, then find who has run one like it.

What clients say.
AWS hiring questions, answered.
Are you an AWS partner?
Yes. TekRecruiter is a certified AWS Partner, and founder Ron Smith is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect. Every AWS search starts with a scoping call with an AWS architect.
What is the difference between an AWS DevOps engineer and an AWS solutions architect?
An AWS DevOps engineer builds, automates and runs the infrastructure: Terraform, CI/CD, containers and monitoring. An AWS solutions architect designs the environment: account structure, networking, security baselines and migration plans. Many teams need an architect for a few months and DevOps engineers for the long run, so we often staff the architect on contract.
Can you help us reduce our AWS bill?
We place the engineers who do it: DevOps, SRE and FinOps-minded cloud engineers who right-size infrastructure, clean up unused resources and put cost guardrails in Terraform and CI/CD. Consultants can start in as little as three days, working your hours. See staff augmentation.
How much does a contract AWS DevOps engineer cost?
In TekRecruiter’s 2026 contract placements, DevOps, SRE and platform engineers billed about $109 an hour in South Florida, $116 in Boston and $120 in New York, across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Senior nearshore SRE/DevOps engineers with AWS and Terraform cost about $42–$57 an hour all in through TekRecruiter, covering pay, employer costs, compliance and the search. See the 2026 Tech Salary & Rate Guide.
Do you recruit data and machine learning engineers for AWS?
Yes. We place data engineers who build pipelines on S3, Glue, Redshift and Kinesis, and ML engineers who deploy models on SageMaker and Bedrock. We screen them on the data products they shipped, not on the service list. See data and analytics engineering.
Can we hire AWS engineers nearshore?
Yes. Senior AWS DevOps and back-end engineers in Latin America work US hours at about $39–$57 an hour all in through TekRecruiter, about half the rate of a US contract engineer. Most of our nearshore placements are in Brazil.
What is the HEART standard?
HEART is the standard we screen every candidate against, beyond skills: high agency, execution, accountability, resourcefulness and transparency. It describes people who take ownership, turn ideas into results and move the business forward. See the standard.
