Hire Azure engineers from a Microsoft Solutions Partner.
TekRecruiter is a Microsoft Azure recruiting agency focused solely on technology and engineering roles at tech and SaaS companies. We’re a Microsoft Solutions Partner led by an Azure-certified architect, so you hire engineers who have run Entra ID, AKS and landing zones in a real tenant, and .NET developers who know the platform they deploy to. Azure roles live next to the Microsoft stack.
Most Azure environments grew out of a Microsoft shop: .NET applications, Entra ID for identity, SQL Server data and, more and more, Azure OpenAI. That makes an Azure hire part cloud engineer, part Microsoft ecosystem engineer. We scope which half matters most before we search.
Microsoft Solutions Partner
TekRecruiter is also a certified AWS, Google Cloud and Salesforce partner, so cross-cloud trade-offs come up in intake.
Contract DevOps, SRE and platform bill rate, 2026
South Florida $109, Boston $116, New York $120, across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.1
To onboard a contract consultant
Contract consultants can start in as little as three days; you interview each one before anything is signed.
The Azure talent we place.
Azure cloud and DevOps engineers
AKS, App Service, networking and Entra ID, built with Bicep or Terraform and shipped through Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Azure solutions architects
Landing zones, subscriptions and management groups, hybrid networking and migration plans onto Azure.
.NET and Azure developers
C# and .NET engineers building cloud applications on Azure Functions, Service Bus and Azure SQL.
Data and AI on Azure
Data engineers on Fabric, Synapse and Databricks; AI engineers building on Azure OpenAI and Azure AI services.
Who our Azure searches are built for.
- Microsoft shops moving to the cloud that need engineers who know .NET, Entra ID and Azure together.
- Teams running production on Azure that need DevOps and platform engineers who can run it.
- Companies building AI features on Azure OpenAI inside an existing Microsoft environment.
- Microsoft 365 or desktop support. We recruit engineers who build on Azure, not IT support.
- Dynamics 365 functional work. That is a separate search, covered on our Microsoft Dynamics page.
- A fully outsourced Azure project. Our engineers work under your management.
Why Azure searches go wrong.
Azure hires sit between the cloud and the Microsoft stack, and most misses come from blurring the two. These are the ones we hear about most.
- 01
Platform or application?
The post said Azure. The team needed a .NET developer, or the reverse.
- 02
Identity as an afterthought.
Engineers who can deploy AKS but can’t explain managed identities or role-based access.
- 03
Dynamics résumés for a cloud role.
Business-apps developers and cloud engineers share the Microsoft name, not the job.
- 04
Click-ops in the portal.
Resources built by hand, with no Bicep or Terraform to review, repeat or roll back.

Azure starts with identity. So does our screen.
We walk each candidate through an Azure environment or application they built or ran: how subscriptions and networks were set up, how identity worked, how code shipped, and what they would change. For developers, we go through the product, not just the services it used. Every engineer we present meets our HEART standard.
- Identity first: Entra ID, managed identities and role-based access in a real tenant.
- Infrastructure as code: Bicep or Terraform, and pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Application depth: for .NET developers, the architecture and features they shipped on Azure.
- Hybrid reality: on-premises connectivity and migration work, where the environment has it.
| A generalist IT staffing firm | TekRecruiter |
|---|---|
| Matches on "Azure" in a résumé | Walks through an Azure environment the candidate ran |
| Treats Azure and Dynamics as one search | Separates cloud engineering from business apps |
| One "cloud engineer" profile | Separates DevOps, architect, .NET and data/AI skill sets |
| No cloud expertise in house | Microsoft Solutions Partner, led by an AWS, Google Cloud and Azure certified architect |
| Accepts portal experience as infrastructure | Screens for Bicep or Terraform and pipelines in review |
The HEART standard
What we look for beyond skills and experience, in every candidate we present.
- High agencyPeople who see what needs to be done and act without waiting to be told.
- ExecutionPeople who turn ideas into results.
- AccountabilityPeople who own the outcome, not just their piece of the work.
- ResourcefulnessPeople who figure things out when the answer isn’t obvious.
- TransparencyPeople who communicate clearly, honestly, and early.
Which Azure profile do you need?
Four skill sets sit under "Azure." The biggest split is between engineers who run the platform and developers who build on it.
| Cloud / DevOps engineer | Solutions architect | .NET / Azure developer | Data and AI engineer | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What they do | Build, automate and run Azure infrastructure | Design the environment and the migration | Build applications on Azure services | Build data platforms and AI features |
| Core services | AKS, App Service, VNets, Entra ID, Monitor | Landing zones, management groups, hybrid networking | Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB | Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Azure OpenAI |
| Tooling we screen | Bicep or Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions | Reference architectures, migration and cost plans | C#, .NET, APIs, testing | Python, SQL, Spark, evaluation of AI features |
| Typical engagement | Contract, contract-to-hire or direct hire | Direct hire, or contract for a migration | Direct hire or contract-to-hire | Direct hire or contract-to-hire |
| Best for | Running production on Azure | Moving a Microsoft estate to the cloud | Product teams on the Microsoft stack | Analytics and AI inside a Microsoft environment |
Scope the estate, then find who has run one like it.
Scope the estate and the work
Cloud platform, applications or data and AI; how much .NET and identity work the role carries; hybrid or cloud-only.

What clients say.
Azure hiring questions, answered.
Are you a Microsoft partner?
Yes. TekRecruiter is a Microsoft Solutions Partner, and a certified AWS, Google Cloud and Salesforce partner as well. Our founder is an AWS, Google Cloud and Azure certified solutions architect.
What is the difference between an Azure DevOps engineer and an Azure developer?
An Azure DevOps engineer builds and runs the platform: infrastructure as code, pipelines, AKS, networking and identity. An Azure developer builds applications on it, usually in C# and .NET, using services like Functions, Service Bus and Azure SQL. Many job posts blend the two; we scope which one the role really is before we search.
Do you recruit for Azure and Microsoft Dynamics?
Yes, as separate searches. Azure roles are cloud engineering and application development. Dynamics 365 roles are business-application development and configuration. See our Microsoft Dynamics page for those.
What does a contract Azure engineer cost?
In TekRecruiter’s 2026 contract placements, DevOps, SRE and platform engineers billed about $109 an hour in South Florida, $116 in Boston and $120 in New York, across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. These are bill rates, covering the consultant’s pay and our fee. See the 2026 Tech Salary & Rate Guide.
Can you find engineers for Azure OpenAI projects?
Yes. We place AI engineers who build LLM features on Azure OpenAI inside existing Microsoft environments, and screen them on what they shipped and how they evaluated it. See AI engineering.
Can we hire Azure and .NET engineers nearshore?
Yes. We place English-fluent Azure and .NET engineers in Latin America who work US hours, at about 50% lower cost than US hires. See nearshore engineering.
What is the HEART standard?
HEART is the standard we screen every candidate against, beyond skills: high agency, execution, accountability, resourcefulness and transparency. It describes people who take ownership, turn ideas into results and move the business forward. See the standard.
